About The Position

We are FRAMOS, an international product-driven tech company of more than 160 amazing people from all over the world. We are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join our team in order to support our sales engineers during technically demanding project discussions. You will help to show our capabilities, use your technical skillset to find optimal solutions for specific customer applications, and be part of convincing customers to choose FRAMOS as their experienced partner for imaging projects. As a Field Application Engineer, your daily duties will be exciting and varied, giving you lots of room to explore imaging solutions and apply your vast imaging know-how for our customer’s needs.

Requirements

  • An amazing communicator, thinking in technical solutions using creativity and ideas to deliver the best possible outcome for customers.
  • A strong affinity and profound understanding of a broad variety of technical applications and high-tech verticals like industrial, security and medical, robotics & automation.
  • A good understanding of hardware and experience with software technologies - for example in embedded systems, imaging, optics, physics, and semiconductor components through studies as well as previous job experiences.
  • Valuable insights into the vision market, vision technology, image sensors, and/or image (pre)processing.
  • Comfortable working with an embedded Linux environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Sales with technical knowledge on customer opportunities, starting from pre-sales consultancy all the way through the sales cycle up to successful design-in.
  • Consulting customers and proposing imaging solutions, including participating in customer calls, as well as on-site visits together with Sales.
  • Thinking of viable technical solutions and verifying innovative ideas through discussing feasibility with the Engineering team.
  • Convincingly presenting solutions and demonstrating hardware setups to customers directly in calls, as well as at events.
  • Becoming a trusted advisor for FRAMOS customers and the imaging industry, living and breathing the company core value “Customer 1st".
  • Acting as a technical representative at events such as fairs, liaising with customers, partners, and industry thought leaders.
  • Using organizational and communication skills to reliably interface to various departments like Sales, Product Management, Custom Solutions, Marketing, Engineering, and others.
