The Teradyne Field Applications team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic and driven Field Application Engineer, who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently to determine and develop imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions. This role involves developing, debugging, and deploying test solutions for Analog and Mixed Signal semiconductor devices, often in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include test program software development, reviewing load board/probe card schematics, analyzing problems to optimize customer throughput on the Teradyne ATE platform, and working with customers to improve test processes and quality of test coverage. The role also includes releasing test solutions to production, which involves correlation and gauge R&R with production handler and prober equipment. Discovery of customer requirements, conceptual design of hardware, software, and test cell integration, and electrical/mechanical H/W schematics are key aspects. The engineer will develop new techniques for characterizing and testing semiconductor devices, demonstrate tester capability for customer evaluations, assist customers with tester operation, and provide training. Building strong customer relations at a technical level is essential for gaining insight into customer needs and directions. A general understanding of ATE industry trends and competitive products is a plus. The role requires the capability for sizing, planning, risk assessment, and leading projects.
