About The Position

Our Analytics & Insights team is dedicated to solving complex healthcare challenges and improving patient outcomes. The team empowers business partners across Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG) to make impactful decisions by leveraging data, analytics, and AI/ML to enable fast, targeted actions in rapidly evolving business contexts. This team fosters a unified understanding of customers, actions, and outcomes by integrating analytics and insights seamlessly into CMG’s evolving digital, data, and automation platforms, creating scalable solutions and eliminating silos. You will serve as a trusted, objective advisor and expert, recommending critical decisions and actions with credibility and a focus on driving measurable impact. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years in management consulting, strategy or other analytical work.
  • Growth Mindset.
  • Experience synthesizing concise summaries focused on the key insights that inform business decisions.
  • Comfortable dealing with uncertainty in a highly-matrixed organization.
  • Strong results orientation and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Persuasive written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Computer or Physical Sciences or related field.
  • MBA or Graduate-level Degree.
  • Experience in biopharma, healthcare environment, managed care, customer engagement/sales, marketing, and/or patient access.
  • Knowledge of contracting processes
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical product development and/or commercialization.
  • Deep experience in exploring large amounts of data, identifying important insights and building compelling narratives.
  • Proficiency in understanding market landscape and surfacing insights across multiple primary data sources.
  • Expertise in the core capabilities of analytics, insights, and strategic advisory across a broad range of go-to-market and access topics.
  • Proficient with data analytics tools (Excel, Python, SQL, Dataiku, etc.)
  • Proven track record of proactive leadership, time management, project management, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Advise stakeholders across the Customer Engagement (CE) Network to define clear, impactful business priorities and develop action plans.
  • Develop strategic options and recommendations by synthesizing findings, connecting insights across therapeutic areas, ecosystems, or analytic domains, and aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Act as go-to analytics and insights advisor to the Business Engagement Managers (BEM) network; Guide and influence their leadership to make data-driven decisions, strategies and tactics.
  • Influence BEM RBO leadership teams to help craft and achieve key area results by considering unique team dynamics and pulling through portfolio priorities while balancing all Squads’ objectives.
  • Demonstrate strength in tailoring communication to specific audiences, communicating and influencing senior leaders and simplifying details for stakeholder buy-in.
  • Translate strategic vision into actionable insights by leveraging a strong analytical background and deep subject matter expertise in healthcare (e.g. payers, providers, healthcare markets, and/or therapeutic areas) to ensure successful execution of initiatives across teams and functions.
  • Sense business needs through stakeholder interactions, drive towards outcomes through high degrees of uncertainty, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Catalyze and entrench new solutions and ways of working into the business.
  • Demonstrate mastery of analytical capability, and proactively help teammates build proficiency/mastery of that capability.
  • Accountable for proactively providing expertise, strategic planning support, and execution against the evolution of a capability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deeply understand business needs, key questions, and priorities, and ensure alignment with project objectives and analytic lead direction.
  • Perform custom analyses by applying appropriate analytic techniques to address business challenges.
  • Take an enterprise mindset, linking individual responsibilities to the broader organization; focus on outcomes that provide the most business and patient value.
  • Contribute to continuous organizational improvement by sharing best practices, identifying opportunities for automation, and enhancing the efficiency and impact of analytic workflows.
  • Play an active role in the adoption of analytical products by staying up to date on the product roadmap, participating in training, user testing (as needed), and providing constructive feedback to ensure products are integrated into workflows.
  • Embed and integrate products into workflows and foster Digital, Data, and Analytics’ product-first culture.
  • Effectively interact with and guide offshore teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to and lead FAI/Data, Analytics & AI department and function-wide initiatives.
  • Work flexibly within a modular team structure to quickly adapt to evolving priorities and deliver impactful insights across a range of business domains, including Payer, Provider, Patient, and/or Market Geography/Expertise.
  • Comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Genentech activities.
