About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Fiduciary Advisory Director to oversee the development and onboarding of new business for Wells Fargo Trust in its Central Division, encompassing the Midwest and Texas regions of the United States. The Fiduciary Advisory Director will be responsible for managing an expert team of trust, estate and philanthropic specialists focused on helping high net worth and ultra-high net worth WIM clients and advisors develop and implement sophisticated estate plans, leveraging the broad capabilities of Wells Fargo Trust’s platform. In this role, you will manage and develop a team of Fiduciary Strategists responsible for business development and the onboarding of new and expanded client relationships for Wells Fargo Trust’s platform in the Midwest and Texas regions. You will drive awareness of Wells Fargo Trust’s broad capabilities throughout the Wells Fargo Advisors community, including developing relationships with divisional and market leaders. You will develop achievable goals for team members, in alignment with Wells Fargo Trust’s business plan, and ensure team members have the resources and guidance necessary to meet those goals. You will engage with centers of influence throughout the regions, including members of the legal and planning communities, to increase awareness and connectivity with Wells Fargo Trust’s service offerings. You will serve as a thought leader to the regions on topics relevant to the Wells Fargo Trust business, including the production of content for internal and external marketing and educational initiatives. You will collaborate with Wells Fargo Trust leadership, risk partners and other regional leaders to ensure consistent execution and quality of service across the organization. You will interact directly with clients, as needed, in support of Wells Fargo Trust and the broader WIM business. You will identify and develop new talent in the regions to meet short- and long-term business objectives and strategy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Fiduciary Advisory experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • CTFA, CFP or similar industry designation
  • 6+ years of professional fiduciary experience in the trusts, estates and/or philanthropic spheres
  • Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to operate autonomously in a high-pressure environment.
