About The Position

Currently there is an opening for a Fiberglass Fabricator in our Aramid division on 1st shift (6:30a - 2:30p. Monday - Friday). As a Fiberglass Fabricator you will perform multiple operations such as drilling, coating, gluing, stacking, pressing and trimming product. Plascore is an established global manufacturer of honeycomb core, composite structures, and cleanrooms. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

Responsibilities

  • Support essential duties and responsibilities with moderate to low supervision.
  • Perform finish work on components, assemblies, and products including coating, glueing, stacking and trimming.
  • Assist other operations as needed.
  • Complete fabrication and assembly per the drawings/instructions.
  • Read, understand and execute upon written work instructions for the manufacture of parts.
  • Fill out all documentation completely and accurately.
  • Completes necessary paperwork and enters data into the electronic data system.
  • Follow all required processes and procedures.
  • Trim blocks after assembly and curing.
  • Properly prepare tools for stacking of fiberglass.
  • Properly prepare materials needed for manufacturing fiberglass blocks (corrugated glass, resin, flats, material, etc.).
  • Operate ovens to correctly select the proper recipe for the required operation.
  • Accurately inspect parts against the quality requirements.
  • Interpret and follow a work schedule and advise if there are issues.
  • Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
  • Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to support all required quality audits for specific areas (ex. fiberglass, prime cure oven, trim saw, ect...).
