About The Position

SRI Telecom is seeking a highly organized Fiber Project Coordinator to support the MetroE team on high-volume fiber initiatives, primarily for Comcast. This role involves managing work order intake, scheduling fiber technicians and headend wiring work, and ensuring consistent coordination across internal teams and vendors. The ideal candidate has a strong background in project coordination, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Excel and Smartsheet. While this is a remote role, occasional onsite meetings may be required, so local candidates are preferred.

Requirements

• Project management skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook is required.
• 2+ years of experience in project coordination or similar role.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Self-starter capable of working independently after proper training.
• Ability to learn and navigate proprietary software.

Nice To Haves

• Outside Plant Experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Intake and organize incoming fiber work orders.
• Schedule field technicians and headend wiring activities.
• Collaborate closely with Fiber Project Managers to maintain timelines and deliverables.
• Use Smartsheet and Excel to track project progress, dependencies, and completion.
• Assign and follow up on tasks with internal teams and external vendors.
• Join regular project meetings to provide updates, flag risks, and document decisions.
• Communicate clearly across departments to ensure alignment and timely execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
