About The Position

GoNetspeed is seeking skilled and motivated individuals for full-time employment as a Fiber Optic Splicer. While experience in this specific trade is preferred, the company is willing to train candidates with no prior experience. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, possess a strong work ethic, have a keen attention to detail, and desire to become a long-term member of the GoNetspeed team. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Mechanically inclined.
Strong work ethic.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Understand construction prints and splice schematics.
Ability to listen carefully to follow instructions.
Demonstrated aptitude for learning from senior team members.
Exhibit a positive attitude.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Self-motivated.
Demonstrated teamwork and versatility in integrating into multiple work environments.
Pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, MVR check and DOT physical.

Nice To Haves

2 years of splicing experience preferred.
Willing to train candidates that have no splicing experience.

Responsibilities

Familiar with various fiber optic splice enclosures and termination panels.
Responsible for prepping and splicing various types of fiber cables (OSP, ADSS & OPGW).
Testing of fiber optic infrastructure.
OTDR testing, power meter testing and Fiber Identifier.
Troubleshoot and check for problems and errors.
Follow applicable safety regulations and company policies.
Be able to complete a Daily Performance Report (DPR) in accurate timeline format.
Perform/prepare timely field reporting of asset usage as required.
Perform other duties as needs arise.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
