About The Position
The Fiber Optic Construction Worker installs fiber-optic infrastructure at various work locations throughout Oregon. The position works four 10-hour days on the road and travels home on weekends most weeks. Work is performed on the road.
Requirements
- Experience operating heavy equipment is required.
Nice To Haves
- A CDL is desired but not required.
- Utility construction experience is desired.
- Willingness to travel 50% is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Place and maintain cable within underground conduit systems.
- Maintain rights-of-way, including patching roadways and backfilling areas.
- Install and remove aerial cable.
- Install and maintain pedestals, poles, carrier sites, and equipment at subscriber locations.
- Operate and maintain digging and trenching equipment.
