About The Position

AIM is currently seeking a Ferrous Receiving Laborer for its Victoriaville site. The position offers a schedule from Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., as well as Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Reporting to the Site Director, the Ferrous Receiver Laborer actively participates in the receiving, sorting, and shipping of ferrous metals.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a dusty, industrial environment
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Excellent physical condition and ability to perform manual labor
• Strong commitment to working safely at all times
• Responsible, resourceful, punctual, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating a forklift
• Experience in metal recycling and knowledge of different types of metals

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers courteously and applying established procedures
• Unloading, sorting, and inspecting ferrous metals received on site
• Identifying different types of metals and assessing their quality
• Operating industrial machinery and tools (loader, forklift, torch, etc.)
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the worksite
• Performing any other related tasks to support operations
