About The Position

This position will be responsible for moving racks/carts, scaling, keeping lines supplied with product, and other items needed to keep lines running. Tyson Foods creates quality products in a safe environment for its team members, with benefits effective Day 1.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions required for the position.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a tow motor certification.
  • 3 months of work history with the same employer.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry up to 20 pounds or greater with back and legs.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
  • Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to climb stairs several times per hour.
  • Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • RF Scanner experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Move full racks of sausage, scale, and enter into the computer.
  • Empty inedible pans and inedible barrels.
  • Assemble and disassemble all packaging equipment and other related machines.
  • Clean out metal detectors.
  • Perform necessary paperwork and process control checks, including product temperature monitoring.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
  • Maintain general manufacturing practices.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.
