Fence Installer
About The Position
The Fence Installer 1 is part of a team of industry specialists who support customers’ security, accessibility, and image requirements. Under direction, the employee helps prepare job sites and uses hand and power tools to prepare, remove, and install fences according to specifications. As a field employee, the Fence Installer represents the company and is expected to maintain professionalism and customer service while working under tight deadlines and strict security requirements. The work is physically demanding and is performed mostly outdoors in varying weather conditions. Complete training is provided for the successful candidate.
Requirements
- Ability to take direction and supervision.
- Motivation to complete work while managing a heavy workload and tight deadlines.
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Knowledge of general tools and equipment, such as drills, power washers, post drivers, and banding equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy fence panels weighing approximately 50–80 pounds.
- Must have own transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating a forklift and a one-ton truck is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for personal and team safety.
- Safely set up and take down fences and associated products at customer sites.
- Complete operational paperwork, including JHAs, reports, truck inventory logs, and site checklists, as directed.
- Follow directions from the Lead Fence Technician or Operations Manager.
- Assist with navigating to sites so the crew arrives safely and efficiently.
- Work safely and productively while remaining aware of site safety.
- Keep workplaces and company vehicles clean and free of garbage and hazards.
- Act professionally with coworkers and customers and maintain a professional appearance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
