About The Position

Kowboy Fence Company is looking for an experienced and dependable Fence Foreman / Crew Lead to lead one of our installation crews. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for keeping the crew organized, ensuring jobs are completed correctly and efficiently, and maintaining the company truck, tools, and equipment. The ideal candidate has previous fence installation or construction experience, is comfortable leading a crew in the field, and takes pride in quality workmanship and keeping an organized jobsite.

Requirements

  • Previous fence installation experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous crew lead, foreman, or construction leadership experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Must be comfortable driving a company truck and towing a trailer.
  • Ability to read measurements, understand job layouts, and use common construction and fencing tools.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate effectively with both crew members and management.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform the physical requirements of fence installation, including lifting, carrying, digging, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and organize a fence installation crew on daily jobs.
  • Review job details and ensure the crew understands the scope of work before beginning installation.
  • Assign tasks and keep crew members productive throughout the day.
  • Install various types of fencing, including wood, chain-link, vinyl, aluminum, and other fence systems as needed.
  • Ensure installations meet company quality standards and job specifications.
  • Operate and take responsibility for the assigned company truck.
  • Keep the truck, trailer, tools, materials, and equipment clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Verify necessary materials and tools are loaded before leaving for each job.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
  • Communicate job progress, material needs, delays, damages, or other issues to management.
  • Ensure crew members follow company safety procedures and expectations.
  • Complete required job documentation and crew sign-off procedures.
  • Provide professional and respectful customer service while on jobsites.
  • Help train and develop crew members on proper installation techniques and company standards.
