About The Position

Essity is seeking an experienced Global Brand Communications Manager for its FemCare category, with a primary focus on North America. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth and enhancing brand health by defining and communicating Essity's brands (Playtex, Carefree) to target audiences. The position involves close collaboration with local marketing and commercial teams in the US and Canada, as well as global brand, research, media, and innovations teams to ensure consistent brand positioning and achieve company sales growth targets. Essity's feminine care brands are known for challenging period-shaming stereotypes and contributing to closing the menstrual health gap. The ideal candidate should embody Essity's values, be willing to challenge, innovate, and move at a fast pace, and be committed to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Passion to work for a purpose-led business, join a taboo-breaking team and participate in the transformation of FemCare in North America by building leading brands.
  • 8-10 years of relevant communications & brand experience with a focus on online/social/commerce, working in a regional and/or global role or creative agency.
  • Proven track record in developing winning communication/content.
  • Experienced in media strategy.
  • Ability to understand consumer behavior across the entire ecosystem.
  • Data-driven with a consumer-first focus.
  • Ability to translate human insights to guide communications development.
  • Experience in analytics-based decision making, with success measured in customer growth.
  • Exceptional communicator, leader, and collaborator.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders to launch progressive brand activations.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams in a solution-oriented way.
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, recommendation, and implementation of the global brand & communications strategy in North America.
  • Develop and drive effective purpose-led brand and product communications throughout the entire path to purchase.
  • Lead the regional media, content, and audience strategy for North America, adapting to changing media behaviors and trends, and partner with markets for seamless campaign activation.
  • Monitor brand performance, derive necessary action steps to fuel growth, measure and analyze communication effectiveness (including brand health), and optimize as needed.
  • Drive best practices and pilot testing of innovative media and communications markets to keep the brand at the forefront.
  • Bring the brand purpose, portfolio architecture, consumer segmentation, and tools to life in North America to support global/regional brand positioning.
  • Own the North America communication budget and manage relationships with creative, social, and PR agencies.
