About The Position

The Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is offering a non-ACGME accredited fellowship position in Infectious Diseases of Immunocompromised Children and Adolescents. This program is designed for practitioners who have completed a Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship and seek to deepen their expertise in diagnosing, managing, and preventing infections in immunocompromised patients. The training program, jointly administered by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, lasts 12-24 months and can be tailored to individual learning objectives. Fellows will manage a diverse patient population with various infectious diseases in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. St. Jude treats over 500 new cancer patients annually, performs 75-100 HSCTs, and cares for over 250 HIV-infected children. Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital has a 40-year history in pediatric transplant surgery. Opportunities for involvement in antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention and control, teaching, and research (for extended training periods) are available.

Requirements

  • MD or local equivalent.
  • Three years of postdoctoral training in pediatrics in either an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program or an RCPSC-accredited pediatric residency program in Canada.
  • Foreign medical graduates who have completed a non-accredited pediatric residency program may also be considered if they meet additional qualifications and conditions.

Responsibilities
