About The Position

Diagnose, treat, and prevent sports-related injuries and conditions, with a strong emphasis on musculoskeletal medicine, exercise science, and wellness promotion. Provide clinical care to athletes and active individuals under supervision. Perform and interpret diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and joint injections. Participate in team coverage for high school, collegiate, and/or professional sports teams. Assist in pre-participation physical exams and sideline/event coverage. Engage in academic activities including teaching, presentations, and scholarly research. Participate in weekly didactic sessions, journal clubs, and case conferences. Attend didactic sessions, and journal clubs. Attend assigned and committee conferences/meetings. Participate in ongoing quality improvement projects. Participate in direct feedback sessions and structured evaluations Engage in self-directed learning to enhance clinical knowledge and decision-making Adherence to duty hour restrictions per ACGME guidelines Maintain admission privileges at both Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest & Ascension Providence Adhere to the standards, policies and expectations set forth in the WFM-R Resident and Fellow Manual Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from accredited school
  • Completion of a residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics
  • Board eligible or certified in primary specialty
  • Eligible for medical licensure
