About The Position

This fellowship focuses on Journalism in Sports, Culture and Social Justice. The role involves digitizing communications, managing social media, maintaining websites and newsletters, organizing digital assets, supporting events, and developing content to promote the journalism program and engage the student community.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in converting print and analog materials to digital formats.
  • Experience in social media content creation, editing, and posting.
  • Ability to monitor social media engagement and audience interactions.
  • Skills in updating and editing website content.
  • Experience in gathering, organizing, and managing digital media assets.
  • Basic post-production editing skills for digital media.
  • Experience in event planning and execution.
  • Logistics and promotional material handling skills.
  • Ability to contribute ideas for digital content and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Convert print and analog materials into digital formats suitable for various platforms and channels to communicate with students.
  • Create, edit, and post content across departmental social media accounts; monitor engagement and audience interactions.
  • Update and edit program website content; ensure accuracy of information, news, and event postings.
  • Gather, organize, process, and manage photographs, videos, graphics, and other digital media; perform basic post-production editing as needed.
  • Assist in planning and executing journalism program events, workshops, and programming; handle logistics and promotional materials.
  • Contribute ideas for digital content and campaigns that promote the program and engage the student journalism community.
