The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is seeking a Michael McConnell Peace and Justice Youth Fellow to support local programs in Chicago. This entry-level fellowship position focuses on increasing youth participation in AFSC programming and contributing to city-wide campaigns aimed at divesting from policing and incarceration, and investing in community-based safety resources. The fellow will work closely with the AFSC Chicago Peacebuilding Program Director on issues such as the abolition of police and prisons. Additional duties may include research, communications support, and the creation of political education materials. Training will be provided to support the fellow's success in this role.
