About The Position

The Driver will drive the feed truck to the farms and back and deliver feed. Driver may be required to pick up feed. Perform pre-trip inspections daily. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

Must hold a valid CDL-A (Commercial Driver’s License – Class A).
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have 2 years driving experience.
Must bring a MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) from the license branch.
Must pass a driving test.

Responsibilities

Drive the feed truck to the farms and back and deliver feed.
Pick up feed.
Perform pre-trip inspections daily.
Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and check that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones, to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes.
Complete all required paperwork correctly and completely.
Wear safety harness when loading truck at height of approximately 14 feet.
Cross-train in other departments.
Work in hot and cold environments and inclement weather.
Keep license and DOT physical documents current.
Comply with random drug testing as required by DOT.
Comply with seat belt and safety rules.
Perform other duties as assigned.
