About The Position

Supports the daily operations of the feedlot by performing a variety of hands-on tasks that help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for livestock and team members.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Experience in outdoor, physical, or hands-on work (construction, farming, ranching, maintenance, etc.) is beneficial.
Familiarity with tractors, skid steers, or similar equipment is a plus. Training is available for candidates eager to learn.
Basic mechanical or repair abilities are helpful for routine maintenance tasks.
Strong work ethic, dependability, and the ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment.
Able to read and understand basic instructions, short written communications, and simple memos.
Able to write simple, clear correspondence when needed.
Able to communicate information effectively in one-on-one situations.
Able to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply or divide using tens and hundreds.
Able to work with basic units of U.S. currency, weight, volume, and distance.
Able to apply common-sense understanding to follow written or verbal instructions that are detailed but straightforward.
Able to handle routine problems involving a small number of concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with tractors, skid steers, or similar equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Cleans pens, scales, feed bunks, water tank drains, and water troughs to maintain healthy, sanitary feeding areas.
Performs routine repairs and basic maintenance throughout the feedlot to keep equipment and facilities in good working condition.
Occasionally drives the water truck to provide water for livestock and help control dust in designated areas.
Assists with additional tasks as directed by the supervisor to support overall feedlot operations.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on operational needs.
