Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as material safety data sheets, operating and maintenance instructions.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
May be required to learn basic computer functions and operate computer.
Possession of a valid driver's license appropriate for the type of equipment to be operated.
English language fluency, verbal and written.
Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

Perform feed milling, mixing, and mill maintenance.
Load prescribed amounts of mill feed and supplements on feed trucks.
Load prescribed amounts of roughage on feed trucks using a front end loader, monitors mixing time, and delivers feed to specified feed bunks.
Unload grain trucks; make bin assignments for grain storage.
Build, repair, and maintain feedlot facilities.
Operate and maintain vehicles and agricultural and construction machinery and equipment in accordance with verbal instructions and those provided in operator's manuals.
Assist with care and processing of cattle.
Keep records and prepare reports regarding feed mixtures, consumption, storage, and mill maintenance.
Receive, comprehend, and follow directions issued by supervisor.
