About The Position

The Feed Truck Driver ensures the safe loading, transport, and complete delivery of feed products to customers. The role includes vehicle inspections, timely and accurate delivery, vehicle and trailer upkeep, product quality checks, and compliance with transportation and workplace safety regulations. The position requires operating in varied conditions, including grain dust and inclement weather, and meeting the stated physical demands.

Requirements

• Must have a Class A CDL and be an insurable driver.
• Must pass the DOT-required physical and related drug test.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, handcart, semi, and feed trailer equipment.
• Availability to work extended hours at times.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 1–20 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally; climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and bins.
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, and carrying items.
• May be required to work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work in grain dust and during inclement weather.
• Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position.

Nice To Haves

• Agriculture background preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a daily vehicle inspection before starting the delivery schedule.
• Deliver bulk feed products accurately and on time.
• Schedule vehicle maintenance and washes.
• Clean trailer compartments safely to reduce the possibility of contamination.
• Ensure product quality and report inconsistencies or concerns.
• Maintain a Class A driver’s license.
• Comply with federal and state Department of Transportation regulations.
• Use caution on and around customer property and facilities.
• Work safely while observing traffic laws and OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
