About The Position
The goal for the Feed Sales/Operations Intern is to gain first-hand exposure to feed production, customer service, and sales. This internship provides an opportunity to learn about the processes within feed mills, interact with customers, and understand sales strategies across various animal species.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Driver's License
Responsibilities
- Work in the Grinnell and Gilbert feed mills to learn the process of feed production.
- Gain exposure to small work team education.
- Work in feed mill offices greeting customers.
- Gain knowledge of receiving feed orders, invoicing, and grain/feed ingredient receiving.
- Develop skills to service customers politely and courteously.
- Make farm calls with Key Coop sales people and possibly by themselves.
- Spend time on sales understanding all species of animals served.
