About The Position

PerforMix Nutrition Systems, an Agri Beef subsidiary, develops and produces feed supplements and balanced diets for beef and dairy cattle throughout the Northwest, with guidance from cattle nutritionists. The Feed Production Tech assists with feed production and batching, ingredient handling, quality control, equipment upkeep, and related facility operations. The position requires adherence to safety and company policies, participation in training, and consistent, punctual attendance. Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are offered the listed benefits; temporary and seasonal employees are excluded.

Requirements

• Basic math skills, including the ability to understand metric conversions.
• Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or GED, or at least one year of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to stand for long periods; frequently reach with hands and arms; handle, grasp, or feel with hands; and occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds from floor to waist.
• Ability to climb 70-foot ladders and work above floor level at different heights.
• Ability to work exposed to outdoor temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Complete production and batching tasks.
• Unload railcars and bulk dry and liquid ingredients.
• Complete sampling and quality-control tasks and test batches.
• Perform general maintenance, inspection, and cleaning.
• Operate a forklift according to safety standards.
• Unload bagged ingredients and/or pallets.
• Use a computer to perform required tasks.
• Oversee usage tanks for best utilization.
• Deliver sacked or toted feeds, if applicable.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Adhere to all safety, SFSF, and company policies.
• Participate in required training.
• Maintain a positive attendance record through consistent and punctual attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• May be required to enter confined spaces.
