Requirements

  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within a feed mill or similar industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment repair, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of successful industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting, repair and assembly of any feed mill equipment.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Experience in pneumatic systems including compressors, cylinders and solenoid valve troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certifications in mechanical maintenance are preferred.
  • Class A CDL - Preferred but nor required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily maintenance activities on feed mill machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Set up and execute maintenance schedules, including routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines when performing maintenance, repairs, and equipment adjustments.
  • Evaluate equipment performance, diagnose issues, and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, documenting all work performed and parts used.
  • Assist in the installation, replacement, and adjustment of feed mill equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a safe working environment.
