About The Position

Primary duties to include night shift supervision of batching, pelleting, receiving and delivery of livestock feed and all related safety and documentation. Additional duties to include loading/unloading trucks, customer service, housekeeping, equipment maintenance, warehouse maintenance, forklift operation, grain handling and other related feed production duties. Supervisor will supply a first shift update to the Mill Manager daily.

Requirements

Must be able to work independently and efficiently without supervision.
Mill and truck mechanical interest and aptitude are beneficial.
Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
High attention to detail and formula accuracy.
Driven, organized, punctual and self-starter.
Individual must be team oriented and leadership capabilities.
Consistently follows all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
BS Agriculture related degree or equivalent work experience.
Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, WEM and FMM.
Must pass drug screen and background check.
Have a commitment to safe working conditions and operations of CDL required vehicles.
Be willing and able to work well with others, to take and give constructive criticism and to supervise 1st shift mill operators and drivers.
Must be able to work without supervision and make 1st shift operational decisions.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and productivity.

Responsibilities

Supervise night shift operations including batching, pelleting, receiving, and delivery of livestock feed.
Oversee all related safety and documentation.
Load and unload trucks.
Provide customer service.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Conduct equipment maintenance.
Perform warehouse maintenance.
Operate forklifts.
Engage in grain handling.
Perform other related feed production duties.
Assist mill employees with operating activities, training, and development.
Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
Perform basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
Understand feed ingredients and proper handling techniques and storage.
Distribute feed onto feed trucks while minimizing shrink.
Operate equipment safely and maintain equipment according to maintenance schedule.
Properly complete necessary paperwork, documentation, and records daily.
Assist with other duties as required.
