Feed Mill Receiving Clerk - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Feed Mill Receiving Clerk position at Pilgrim's Harrisonburg Feed Mill is responsible for unloading various types of deliveries, including corn trains, other rail cars, and bulk and bagged ingredient trucks. The role also involves loading out corn trucks, printing scale tickets, maintaining the corn re-claim system, and performing cleaning duties in the receiving area and other parts of the mill. The position may also require filling in for other roles within the mill as needed. This is a 1st shift position, operating Monday through Friday with some weekend work required, from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. The company is committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment and conducts drug, alcohol, and background checks for all new team members. Employment eligibility verification is also required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma preferred
- Able to work well with others and without direct supervision
- Able to work in a dusty environment
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Excellent attendance, safety and work record
- Ability to operate machinery including Train locomotive
Responsibilities
- Unload corn trains (receiving 75 to 150 cars per week)
- Unload other rail cars (receiving 20 to 50 cars per week)
- Unload bulk ingredients trucks (receiving around 20 trucks per week)
- Unload bag ingredients trucks
- Load out corn trucks
- Print receiving and load out scale tickets
- Keep corn re-claim system running
- Clean in the receiving and other areas of the mill
- Fill in other areas in the mill as needed
