About The Position

The Feed Mill Operator is responsible for various operations within the feed mill, including bulk receiving, housekeeping, and quality control. This role involves monitoring ingredient quality, performing accurate sample testing and record keeping, unloading ingredients, and ensuring safe and efficient work practices. The operator will also assist with housekeeping, perform minor equipment repairs, and work in specific areas such as pelleting, batching, and bulk load out as required, adhering to all job standards.

Nice To Haves

Experience with all batching, pelleting, receiving, and loading functions of a feed mill
One year of mechanical experience

Responsibilities

Work in the areas of all bulk receiving, housekeeping, and quality control operations for shift
Monitor quality of ingredients received
Responsible for accurate sample testing and record keeping of ingredients
Unload ingredients into proper bins
Work in a safe and efficient manner
Assist in all housekeeping functions at the mill
Perform minor repairs on mill equipment
Work in the pelleting and batching areas, as well as bulk load out when required
Perform all jobs to standard
