About The Position

Operates mill equipment to include mixing, processing, loading and transporting feed and other products to customers and other facilities as directed. Responsible for the manufacturing and handling of all feeds, ensuring proper sequencing of products to produce the correct feeds. Assists with inventory and records of all feeds. Protects product from damage. Maintains proper inventory paperwork at the facility for deliveries and completes physical inventories as required. Monitors inventory for current seasonal and daily needs. Maintains a record of each batch of feed produced to document a quality manufacturing program. Maintains records of all medicated feed additives as required by state law. Responsible for keeping the Branch Manager informed of the need for major building and equipment repairs as well as recommendations for annual fixed asset purchases. Responsible for location housekeeping. Responsible for safe use of tools and equipment and appropriate use of personal protective equipment by all employees at the location and reporting unsafe conditions to the Location Manager. Responsible for delivery of products to customers. Schedules all major equipment repairs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or the equivalent thereof.
  • 3 years or more of related work experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Normally requires a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Ability to travel independently and overnight.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
