About The Position

The Feed Mill Ingredient Receiver is responsible for accurately recording data, operating scales, and documenting incoming ingredients through the ticketing system. This role involves operating equipment to unload feed ingredients and route them to appropriate storage silos. The receiver will also perform quality analysis on incoming ingredients, use hand tools for unloading and minor maintenance, and work in various environmental conditions including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The position requires the ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as needed, work in elevated areas, and adhere to all safety procedures, including company biosecurity guidelines. Maintaining good housekeeping, communicating effectively with all levels of operations, and following health and safety protocols are also key responsibilities. The role involves significant physical activity, including lifting up to 60 lbs (or up to 100 lbs with assistance), standing, sitting, walking, and climbing ladders/stairs throughout the day. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform these physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 months (90 days) work history or a high school education or equivalent in lieu of work history.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
  • Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guildelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.

  • Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately record data.

  • Obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients.
  • Lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading of ingredients.
  • Perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools.
  • Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
  • Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
  • Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
  • Sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guildelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
  • Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.
  • Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required.
  • Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
  • Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
