About The Position

The Feed Mill Ingredient Receiver is responsible for accurately recording data, operating scales, and documenting incoming ingredients through the ticketing system. This role involves operating equipment to unload feed ingredients and route them to appropriate storage silos. The receiver will also perform quality analysis on incoming ingredients, use hand tools for unloading and minor maintenance, and work in various environmental conditions including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The position requires the ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as needed, work in elevated areas, and adhere to all safety procedures, including company biosecurity guidelines. Maintaining good housekeeping, communicating effectively with all levels of operations, and following all Tyson Health and Safety protocols are also key responsibilities. The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs or up to 100 lbs with assistance, and sustain physical activity throughout the day, including standing, sitting, walking, and climbing ladders/stairs. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 months (90 days) work history or a high school education or equivalent in lieu of work history.
Ability to operate scales and document incoming ingredients through the ticketing system.
Ability to operate equipment to unload feed ingredients and route to appropriate storage silo.
Ability to obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients.
Ability to lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading of ingredients.
Ability to perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools.
Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guildelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.
Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required.
Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
