About The Position

This role is responsible for receiving feed ingredients at the Waldron Feed Mill. The operator will be responsible for accurately recording data, operating scales, and documenting incoming ingredients. They will also operate equipment to unload ingredients and route them to storage silos, perform quality analysis on incoming ingredients, and assist with unloading using hand tools. Minor maintenance duties using hand tools are also part of the role. The position requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments, with significant exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The role also involves working holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as needed, working in elevated areas, and adhering to all safety procedures and company biosecurity guidelines, including avoiding avian species. Maintaining good housekeeping and communicating effectively with all levels of operations, customers, and vendors are essential. The job requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. with assistance, and to sustain physical activity throughout the day, including standing, sitting, walking, and climbing ladders/stairs. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guildelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.
Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required.
Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
