About The Position

The Feed Ingredient Receiver Operator is responsible for accurately recording data, operating scales, and documenting incoming ingredients through the ticketing system. This role involves operating equipment to unload feed ingredients and route them to appropriate storage silos. The operator will also perform quality analysis on incoming ingredients, use hand tools for unloading and minor maintenance, and work in various environmental conditions including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The position requires the ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as needed, and to work in elevated areas while following all safety procedures. Adherence to Company Biosecurity Guidelines, including avoiding avian species, is mandatory. Good housekeeping of service areas is expected, along with clear communication to all levels of Operations, Customers, and Vendors. The role requires strict adherence to Tyson Health and Safety protocols. Physical requirements include lifting up to 60 lbs (or up to 100 lbs with assistance), and the ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders/stairs with sustained physical activity throughout the day. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform these physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation. Additional tasks assigned by management must also be completed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 months' work history or a High School education or equivalent in lieu of work history.
  • Ability to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb ladder/stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
