About The Position

This position is responsible for multiple tasks including receiving orders, loading trucks, and dispatching trucks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. This position pays $17.70/hr. This position is responsible for performing tasks assigned by supervisor that are associated with the day to day.

Requirements

  • 3-month operator experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 3 months)
  • 180 days wait period from last termination date
  • 3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before)
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Basic mechanical Skills
  • Basic computer skill
  • Ability to certify and maintain PIT Certification
  • Ability to certify as a Weigh Master
  • Ability to achieve and maintain respirator certification where applicable (ability be clean shaven)
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year feed mill experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receiving orders
  • Loading trucks
  • Dispatching trucks
  • Performing tasks assigned by supervisor
  • Reading and writing in order to receive and document orders
  • Scheduling loads of feed by creating and organizing feed tickets and maintaining them for record keeping
  • Dispatching loads of feed and distributing them evenly among driver/team members within DOT rules and regulations
  • Answering calls from Service Techs and Growers while maintaining a good working relationship with them
  • Organizing/flexing tasks and changing priorities throughout the day
  • Working in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather
  • Working holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling
  • Working in elevated areas and following all safety procedures
  • Signing and abiding by the Company Biosecurity Guildelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species
  • Maintaining good housekeeping including service areas
  • Communicating to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required
  • Following and Operating within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols
  • Completing all other tasks assigned by management
