About The Position

This is a full-time position on the 3rd shift at the Center Feed Mill in Texas. The role involves operating feed batching equipment, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring quality control. The position requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, dust, and wet or cold environments. Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor are essential. The successful candidate will also be responsible for basic maintenance, safety protocols, and communication with dispatch.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year feed mill experience preferred.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • Communication Skills.
  • Basic mechanical Skills.
  • Basic computer skill.
  • Ability to certify and maintain PIT Certification.
  • Ability to certify as a Weigh Master.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain respirator certification where applicable (ability be clean shaven).
  • Valid Class D License where applicable.
  • Six (6) months of feed mill experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 months continuous experience in Industrial/Manufacturing/Construction/Landscaping/Ranching/Farming environment.
  • 180 days wait period from last termination date.
  • 3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before).

Responsibilities

  • Accurately record data.
  • Accurately calculate the amount of feed that can be produced.
  • Accurately read a tape measure for end-of-shift inventory.
  • Open heavy doors and clean out mills.
  • Push/pull pallet jack with bulk/1-ton bags of ingredients and hang them.
  • Perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools.
  • Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
  • Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
  • Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
  • Abide by Company Biosecurity Guildelines, including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in service areas.
  • Communicate with dispatch to ensure the feed they need is being produced.
  • Follow and operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Stand, sit, walk, climb ladders/stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
  • Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
