Feed and Warehouse Operations Associate
About The Position
Ithaca Ace Hardware is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused Feed & Warehouse Operations Associate to support high-volume feed and warehouse operations. This hands-on role helps keep products moving efficiently, assists customers with loading materials, and maintains an organized, safe, and well-stocked warehouse. The associate works collaboratively with warehouse and store team members to meet daily operational needs and provides friendly, knowledgeable customer service. Requirements
- Forklift certification is required.
- Weekend availability is required.
- A positive and professional attitude.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to apply basic math concepts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to process transactions efficiently using the register system.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to bend, climb, twist, and reach while moving merchandise as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in an animal-friendly environment; accommodations are available upon request.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, forklift, agricultural supply, or material-handling experience preferred but not required.
- Loader experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload customer vehicles and delivery trucks with feed, wood pellets, and other bulk or bagged materials.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to move, organize, and stock merchandise.
- Assemble grills, wheelbarrows, outdoor equipment, and other products for customer purchases and in-store displays, following manufacturer instructions.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse, including proper storage and rotation of inventory.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, verifying shipments, and stocking merchandise.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to support inventory accuracy.
- Provide customer service by assisting with product selection, loading, and general questions.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse and store team members to meet daily operational needs.
- Fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently, including preparing merchandise for pickup or delivery.
- Follow company safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and safe equipment operation.
- Process transactions efficiently using the register system.
