About The Position

Responsibilities

  • Opening duties: Turning on AC and lights, setting up computers with necessary software, printing paperwork, unlocking supply cabinets, and reviewing the client list.
  • Managing volunteers: Sending out sign-ups, providing information to volunteers, delegating cleaning and organizational tasks.
  • Advocacy: Representing OT to other professions, attending health fairs, liaising between the OT department and the St. Vincent's office, and communicating with staff about scheduling.
  • Financial management: Distributing donated funds, planning fundraisers, maintaining the clinic budget, and keeping up the budget spreadsheet.
  • Clinic schedule management: Coordinating client and selective schedules, updating client lists, distributing confirmations and cancellations, tracking client arrival/departure times, calling referrals, creating weekly schedules, and checking clients in/out.
  • Miscellaneous duties: Providing treatment notes, transferring client plans of care, organizing cabinets, seeking out referrals and financial opportunities, monitoring supplies, maintaining equipment, and assisting students with issues.
  • Closing duties: Securing the clinic, preparing the next week's schedule, and performing various administrative tasks.
  • Specific daily tasks for Monday/Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, including patient confirmation calls, finding new patients, attending IP clinic, finalizing schedules, and assisting with patient care.
  • Other weekly tasks: Attending monthly clinic meetings, IP committee meetings, facilitating clinic events, and sending OT metrics.
  • Chair responsibilities: Attending meetings, communicating with other chairs, updating the team on OT needs, and voting on OT-related issues.
