About The Position

ECU Department of Earth, Environment and Planning is currently seeking a lab assistant to help with the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, labs, equipment, and vehicles. The position will report to our Facilities Maintenance Technician, Scott Rose. The department supports a diverse range of research and teaching activities; duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Federal Work Study eligibility

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and general maintenance of Geological Science labs
• Cleaning, organization, and maintenance of field and lab equipment
• Cataloging equipment and materials for surplus or storage
• Washing and detailing department vehicles and assisting with vehicle maintenance
• Assisting with the organization, maintenance, and set up of departmental spaces, such as offices, computer labs, and class labs
• Other duties as assigned to support the work of the Facilities Maintenance Tech
