About The Position
ECU Department of Anthropology is currently seeking a Federal Work Study student to serve as a lab assistant for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. This student will provide support to faculty and staff by assisting with laboratory activities, collections management, and general office operations as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a Federal Work Study student
Responsibilities
- Assisting faculty with laboratory projects and research activities
- Preparing, organizing, and maintaining laboratory materials, equipment, and collections
- Assisting with artifact processing, inventory, and data entry
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
- Assisting students, faculty, and staff in person and over the phone.
- Performing general office duties, including filing, copying, scanning, and other administrative tasks
- Completing additional departmental projects
