About The Position

BCS Allegient has a 35-year history of helping government, research, and private sector clients implement their programs and missions to achieve success. We offer a breadth of professional support services in the areas of business management, communications, systems engineering, analysis, mission execution, and organization performance. BCS Allegient has a contingent opening for a Federal Strategic Communications Program Manager to support an upcoming contract with the Department of Energy. This position is remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience supporting federal programs, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, technical communications, program management, or mission support activities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading or managing communications, outreach, reporting, or stakeholder-facing deliverables for federal agencies or federally funded programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience supporting DOE, GSA, federal energy programs, federal buildings, emerging technologies, national laboratories, FEMP, Green Proving Ground, CEBT, or other science/technology-focused federal programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic communications and program management support for a federal emerging building technologies program.
  • Provide senior oversight of technical writing, graphic design, dashboard, webinar, stakeholder engagement, and reporting workstreams.
  • Translate complex technical, scientific, engineering, energy, and building technology information into executive-ready communications products.
  • Coordinate with federal program managers, DOE National Laboratory stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical reviewers, communications staff, and contractor team members.
  • Facilitate recurring strategy meetings, technical committee meetings, stakeholder workshops, planning sessions, and leadership briefings.
  • Develop and manage editorial calendars, deliverable schedules, communication plans, action item trackers, and risk/issue logs.
  • Review technical reports, findings summaries, infographics, webinars, briefing materials, and outreach products for clarity, consistency, quality, and alignment with federal stakeholder needs.
  • Support development of technology adoption, Pilot-to-Portfolio, and stakeholder engagement materials.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and are suitable for executive, technical, and non-technical audiences.
  • Coordinate quality control reviews to ensure products are accurate, professional, plain-language appropriate, and compliant with applicable federal communication standards.
  • Support proposal and transition planning as needed, including staffing coordination, work planning, and development of management approach materials.
