The Division Administrator for Federal and State Support reports to the CPS Director and directly supervises 4 positions and oversees a total of 15.5 positions. The position coordinates new initiatives because of federal, state, or legislative changes to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements. The position oversees the development of policies and rules for purchased services, foster care eligibility, child support, social security income, adoptions and other federal funding sources. The position oversees high level decision-making, policy development, and protocol development regarding determination of Title IV-E eligibility for IV-E eligible children/ youth for DFPS. The position is responsible for development of Title IV-E and IV-B state plans, including annual updates. The position oversees problem resolution associated with eligibility for Medicaid children in DFPS conservatorship or recipients of Title IV-E funding. The position resolves problems between state agencies and coordinates with regional residential contract staff, state office licensing, and state office legal for issues relating to contract residential facilities. The position interacts routinely with entities such as, health and human services staff, federal Administration for Children and Families staff, Office of Attorney General staff, Social Security Administration staff, regional staff, state office legal, budget, internal audit, information technology, contracts, regional operations, other state and federal agencies and various other organizations.
