About The Position

Outside The Box, LLC is seeking a Federal Construction Superintendent for a project at Camp Mackall, near Fayetteville, NC. The Superintendent will coordinate all site construction activities, supervise field personnel, and ensure the project is completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. This role involves managing the job site office, closing out projects, and collaborating with the Project Manager on budgets and planning. The Superintendent is also responsible for training workers on construction methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly responsible, and possesses outstanding organizational and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of successful construction work experience as a project superintendent.
  • Project work ranging from $10M - $30M.
  • Federal project experience required, including but not limited to prior work with the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Ability to gain access to Federal installations.
  • Experienced in managing multiple projects.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification or EM385 Safety Certification and Qualify Control Certification.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • US Citizenship or Green Card certification.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Site work/utility experience.
  • Design-build experience preferred.
  • 2-yr college degree preferred.
  • Desirable study concentration in construction management.
  • Previous management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
  • Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Schedules the project in logical steps and budgets time required to meet deadlines.
  • Directs and supervises all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
  • Completes daily reports on computer-based project management program.
  • Manages the project budget, tracks labor & material costs, and prepares cost estimates for OTB self-performed work activities.
  • Prepares and completes a final punch list.
  • Takes action to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
  • Investigates damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
  • Maintains as-built drawings for all trades through the completion of the project.
  • Ensures all reports and records are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responsible for training workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.
