This Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated Federal Business Development Manager to identify and pursue new federal business opportunities, build and maintain strong strategic partnerships, and develop sales strategies that deliver results. In this role, you will play a key part in expanding our federal customer base, driving revenue growth, and strengthening our impact in the federal sector!

Requirements

  • 5+ years of diversified experience in Federal Environmental Business Development and/or Capture Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, marketing, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in business development and sales in the environmental sector
  • Able to gain entrance to Federal facilities, which may include additional background screenings required/outlined by respective agency
  • Strong understanding of market research, lead generation, and sales processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex ideas clearly and convincingly
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales-related tools is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, industry events, and market research

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough federal environment program market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitor analysis. Use market and funding data to develop targeted strategies for business growth
  • Develop a strong pipeline of qualified federal leads through various channels, networking, industry events, and digital marketing efforts
  • Lead large and strategic federal pursuits/proposals – develop the winning strategy, respond to RFPs including strategic cost proposal development
  • Nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue from existing accounts
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders, vendors, and industry influencers to enhance the company's market position
  • Track and analyze sales metrics, prepare regular sales reports, and present findings to senior management
  • Develop strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential markets
  • Evaluate the feasibility of expanding our services into new markets
