About The Position

VectorUSA is seeking a Federal Account Executive to join their Federal Sales Team. This role involves building a successful sales practice by working directly with the DoD, Intelligence Community, and/or Federal Civilian agencies, along with industry partners. The customer portfolio includes various branches of the US military and multiple federal departments. This is a growth opportunity offering a challenging yet rewarding experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED
  • 3+ years of recent Federal Market sales experience with a track record of selling advanced technology solutions OR recent experience working in a technical capacity for the Federal Government (DoD, Intelligence, or Civilian agency).
  • Excellent solution/consultative selling capability
  • Demonstrated sales and account development experience with growth in both revenue and gross profit
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Attentive and responsive to internal and external communication
  • Experienced in working with customer, departmental, and executive staff
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects at once
  • Proactive approach to organization and problem solving
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to absorb technical information
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)

Responsibilities

  • Discuss business requirements, challenges, and objectives with customers to uncover sales opportunities for engineering services and technical solutions.
  • Position deals to win by working with sales engineers, solutions architects, customer teams, and driving funding and contracting.
  • Engage with OEM and other external partners.
  • Conduct market research and prospecting to open sales opportunities, potentially managing existing accounts or developing new ones through personal efforts.
  • Network within the industry community, building relationships with OEMs, consultants, and VARs.
  • Invest time in continual education for sales, industry, and OEM-specific training.
  • Maintain and update the sales pipeline.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, project management, and post-sales operations.
