About The Position

The marine industry supports recreation, global commerce, and national defense. Arc is on a mission to electrify the marine industry by rethinking powertrains, software, and vessel designs. The company has proven its technology with consumers and is now scaling production and extending its platform to commercial applications, including tugs, ferries, and defense. Arc has existing contracts and a strong pipeline, indicating a significant opportunity in the growing electric marine sector.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with government contracting or defense acquisition.
  • Field sales, business development, or capture experience, ideally selling to the U.S. Navy, Department of War, or the federal government.
  • Proven track record of managing full sales cycles and consistently exceeding targets.
  • Comfort building relationships within large, complex organizations and guiding group buying decisions.
  • Strong discovery, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while focusing on key accounts.
  • Must be a 'U.S. person' as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.62) due to access to controlled information.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Background in maritime, power and propulsion, unmanned systems, or a related technical field.
  • Training in a modern sales or capture methodology (e.g., Challenger, SPIN, or Shipley).
  • Active or recent security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Own a set of U.S. Navy accounts and manage them from initial contact to signed business.
  • Find and open new opportunities, grow existing ones, and bring in partners when beneficial.
  • Develop trusted relationships with customers and partners, including program leaders and prime contractors.
  • Understand customer missions and priorities to position Arc Boat’s technology as a solution.
  • Qualify opportunities carefully and manage them through a disciplined sales and capture process.
  • Partner with prime contractors, teammates, and Arc Boats engineering to create proposals and teaming arrangements.
  • Accurately forecast sales, maintain current records, and report on progress and pipeline health.
