About The Position

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Features Production Coordinator to support the Features Department and The 700 Club television program in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The role helps bring feature stories to the screen by coordinating production workflows, maintaining story records, tracking assignments and deadlines, and ensuring producers and production staff have the information and resources they need.

Working with producers, line producers, production staff, and other departments, the coordinator tracks stories from initial assignment through broadcast and archiving and supports the daily operations of the television production team. The position also facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN’s mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.

The annual salary range is $47,000–$50,000. Final compensation within this range depends on education, relevant experience, and demonstrated skills aligned with the role requirements.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Understanding of television production processes, story development, research, and the workflow for taking a feature story from assignment through broadcast and archiving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with producers, production staff, and internal departments.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, and experience maintaining information in databases or other digital platforms.
• Ability to learn, adapt to, and effectively use emerging technologies, including online database/CRM platforms, AI tools, and digital media management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to recognize workflow issues, assess competing priorities, and recommend practical solutions in a deadline-driven environment.
• Self-motivation and a proactive approach, with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and follow through on responsibilities.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships and collaborate with individuals across multiple departments and organizational levels.
• Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN’s non-profit Christian mission.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the Features Department’s master story database, tracking stories from assignment through broadcast and archiving.
• Prepare daily production reports.
• Organize and upload story materials for production meetings.
• Coordinate media resources and documentation, keeping information and files accurate and accessible.
• Work with producers, line producers, and production staff to monitor story progress and follow up on assignments and deadlines.
• Identify potential workflow issues and communicate updates as needed.
• Liaise with CBN International, Operation Blessing, and Marketing to facilitate video access and respond to production information requests.
• Provide scheduling, assignment-tracking, and general coordination support to the Features Director.
• Provide backup support to the Features Director with scheduling, story assignments, and other departmental coordination responsibilities.
