About The Position

DreamWorks Animation is hiring a part-time Feature Modeling Intern for its Spring 2027 internship program. Interns work alongside creative leaders and artists in an inclusive, collaborative studio environment and gain hands-on experience on feature animated productions. The internship is in person in Glendale, California, with a hybrid designation requiring a minimum of three office days per week; beginning January 5, 2026, the stated minimum increases to four office days per week. The program runs January 25 through April 1, 2027, and requires 24 hours per week.

The intern will work closely with other modelers to create assets and models, address creative and technical issues, and coordinate with other departments to integrate elements into assigned shots on time. The role also includes managing shot tasks to meet schedules and attending dailies, modeling launches, and other required meetings. There may be opportunities to help test new technologies.

Requirements

• Be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or graduate degree at a college or university (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate within six months of the graduation date.
• Have a passion for working as part of a modeling team in feature animation.
• Have a desire to learn all aspects of the modeling pipeline.
• Demonstrate curiosity and teamwork.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be willing to work in Glendale, California.
• Be able to provide own relocation, housing, and transportation.
• Be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Some understanding of the modeling process, including topology and storytelling through shape and form.
