About The Position

At Bank of America, the Feature Lead provides leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. The role oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex programs, aligns technical solutions with business objectives, and ensures coding practices and quality comply with software development standards. The Feature Lead is a hands-on technical lead responsible for designing, developing, and delivering enterprise GenAI orchestration and integration solutions. The role transforms AI capabilities into scalable business solutions by orchestrating workflows, integrating AI services, and connecting upstream and downstream systems. It owns complex features end to end, drives technical excellence, mentors engineers, and collaborates with architecture, product, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable AI-powered solutions. The role leads enterprise-scale GenAI orchestration work, guides feature teams throughout the software development lifecycle, and conducts architecture and design reviews. It also develops workflow orchestration solutions using Camunda and Python-based services, including Human in the Loop, and integrates AI/LLM capabilities into business workflows and operational processes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
At least 8 years of software engineering experience with progressively increasing technical leadership responsibilities.
Experience leading complex enterprise application or platform initiatives.
Strong expertise in Python development and microservices architecture.
Experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Camunda.
Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of cloud-native application development and container technologies.
Experience integrating enterprise applications across complex ecosystems.
Proven experience performing architecture and technical design reviews.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience delivering GenAI, AI/ML, or intelligent automation solutions.
Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms.
Knowledge of LLM integration frameworks and AI orchestration patterns.
Experience with observability, monitoring, and operational excellence practices.
Familiarity with document processing, OCR, workflow automation, or Human-in-the-Loop platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and take accountability for feature delivery.
Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality.
Ensure solutions meet product acceptance criteria while minimizing technical debt.
Guide the team on work breakdown and execution.
Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a healthy product backlog and clear acceptance criteria.
Serve as an individual-contributor team lead and mentor team members.
Guide team members in planning, estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale GenAI orchestration solutions.
Provide technical leadership across feature teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure scalability, resiliency, security, and maintainability.
Establish engineering best practices and promote high-quality software delivery.
Design and develop workflow orchestration solutions using Camunda and Python-based services, including Human in the Loop.
Build reusable orchestration patterns, APIs, frameworks, and platform components.
Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into business workflows and operational processes.
Drive automation strategies that improve delivery speed, efficiency, and business outcomes.
