Feature Development Intern, DreamWorks Animation, Spring 2027
About The Position
DreamWorks Animation is seeking adventurous and growth-minded individuals for their Spring 2027 Feature Development Internship. This program offers students and recent graduates hands-on experience in TV and Feature animated productions, working alongside creative leaders and artists. The internship aims to provide an understanding of the development process and how a development department functions within a studio environment. Interns will be immersed in productions and gain valuable experience at the studio. The program also includes executive speaker series, professional development workshops, artistic classes, community outreach, and movie screenings.
Requirements
- A cover letter is a crucial part of the submission process for this internship to showcase writing style
- Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate (within six months of graduation date)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be willing to work in Glendale, California
- Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- Familiar with Google Suite
- Photoshop and/or Canva experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Work closely with departmental representatives on various tasks, including project research, script coverage, writers lists and competitive tracking.
- Gain an appreciation of the development process and how a development department functions within a studio environment.
