About The Position

As a core member of the product design team, you will contribute to envisioning the future of the FEA workflow and collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to develop the necessary tools to achieve it. Your responsibilities will encompass exploring the latest Large Language Models (LLMs) and Machine Learning (ML) tools, identifying optimal integration strategies within the FEA workflow, and designing experiments to characterize materials, advance constitutive models, and validate them across various levels of complexity. Additionally, you will conduct predictive finite element simulations to inform product design decisions. Your integration with the product design team will extend from the initial stages of product development to the engineering of groundbreaking products.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of solid mechanics.
  • Experience in implicit and explicit finite element analysis (FEA).
  • Attention to detail and commitment to verification/validation.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a passion for creating cutting-edge products.
  • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Structural Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in the mechanical behavior of materials and constitutive modeling.
  • Proficiency in Python and relevant packages for ML.
  • Experience with Abaqus, ANSYS, and META.
  • Experience with system-level modeling and simulation.
  • Self-motivated to identify areas for improvement and drive innovation.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and written and verbal communication.
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Structural Engineering, or a similar discipline.
