About The Position

As a GenAI Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Google Cloud, you are an embedded builder who bridges the gap between frontier AI products and production-grade customer deployments. Rather than serving in a traditional advisory role, you act as an innovator-builder: coding, debugging, and jointly shipping bespoke agentic solutions in customer environments. The role is designed for high-agency engineers with a founder’s mindset. You will address blockers to production, including integration complexities, data readiness issues, and state-management challenges. Embedded with strategic accounts, you will provide white-glove deployment of complex AI systems and feed real-world field insights back into Google Cloud’s product roadmap. The role is remote, with work timing aligned to PST. Candidates must hold at least one Cloud Partner Specialist (CPS) certification and at least one additional Google Cloud Professional certificate. Candidates must also be currently deployed on an active GE project or assigned to an upcoming GE project starting within the next two months, subject to availability.

Requirements

  • Hold at least one Cloud Partner Specialist (CPS) certification.
  • Hold at least one additional Google Cloud Professional certificate.
  • Be currently deployed on an active GE project or assigned to an upcoming GE project starting within the next two months, subject to availability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience using Python or similar programming languages.
  • Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms such as GCP.
  • Experience building structured and unstructured data pipelines using vector databases and RAG-like architectures for enterprise AI solutions.
  • Experience taking production-grade AI-driven solutions from conception through customer launch.
  • Experience leading technical discovery sessions with customers.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and customizing Google’s Conversational AI product suite, including Conversational Agents (Gemini-powered CX), Customer Engagement Suite (CES), and Contact Center AI (CCAI).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or PhD in AI, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience implementing multi-agent systems with frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or ADK, and patterns such as ReAct, self-reflection, or hierarchical delegation.
  • Knowledge of LLM-native metrics, including tokens per second and cost per request, and techniques for optimizing state management and granular tracing.
  • Production-grade experience architecting voice and agentic systems across the Google Enterprise CX ecosystem, including Dialogflow CX, CX Agent Studio, SCRAPI, Agent Assist, and CCaaS.
  • Formally assessed, top-decile engineering talent, such as Google AI/FDE Bootcamp certification or verified 80%+ benchmark assessments.
  • Demonstrated telecom architecture depth, including telecom APIs, user authentication (UA), and enterprise business architectures (BAA).
  • Senior tiger-team capability to drive execution independently while upskilling co-delivery partner teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex AI applications, moving rapid prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows, such as multi-agent systems and MCP servers, that deliver measurable ROI.
  • Architect and code integrations between Google AI products—including Gemini-powered CX, Customer Engagement Suite, and Contact Center AI—and customer infrastructure, APIs, legacy data silos, and security perimeters.
  • Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure agentic systems meet requirements for accuracy, safety, and latency.
  • Identify repeatable field patterns and friction points in Google’s AI stack and turn them into reusable modules or formal product feature requests for Engineering teams.
  • Co-build with customer engineering teams and establish Google-grade development practices to support long-term project success and end-user adoption.
